pH Test Strips – suitable for all liquids

13,90

This pH test strip is a strip of plastic with 4 test surfaces that allows you to measure the pH value of ALL types of liquid. This system works more conveniently and accurately than litmus paper. The content of the pack is 150 strips.

Preferably measure at a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Simply dip the pH test strip into the liquid for 1 second. All 4 test surfaces should be dipped. Now shaking the strip firmly will remove the excess liquid from the strip. Now compare the colours on the test strip with the 14 colour combinations (pH 0 – pH 14) printed on the packaging and find the colour combination that most closely matches the colour combination on the strip. The pH number on the packaging of this colour combination is the pH of the liquid you measured. One complete test takes only 5 seconds.

What are the applications ?

  • Measuring water in a pond and other natural water: to monitor whether micro-life is good
  • Measuring drinking water to check whether the drinking water meets the pH standard
  • Measuring in a swimming pool and Spa-Jacuzzi: the pH value is important for water quality and you avoid adding too little or too many chemicals
  • Measuring in water you use for plants: if the water you use to water the plants has too high or too low a pH, the plant will find it harder or even impossible to absorb nutrients
  • If you use a pH meter, it is useful to measure with the test strip from time to time as well. This is basically a 2nd check of the pH value displayed by the meter. If the deviation is relatively large, it may be an indication that the meter needs to be calibrated or the meter’s probe replaced.

pH Test Strips – suitable for all liquids

pH is a measure of the acidity of an aqueous solution. In other words, pH measures the amount of H+ ions in an aqueous solution. Any aqueous solution can be measured to determine its pH value. This value ranges from 0 to 14.

The pH of pure water is 7.0. Liquids with a greater concentration of hydrogen ions than pure water are acidic and have a pH less than 7. Liquids with a lower concentration of hydrogen ions are basic and have a pH higher than 7.
