This pH meter is ideal for water quality testing or other liquids
Used in water purification or treatment, hydro culture, horticulture, aquariums etc.
This pen type professional pH meter is ideal for all water quality testing, water purification applications, wastewater regulation, aquaculture (hydro culture), hydroponics, labs & scientific testing, pools & spas, aquariums, ecology testing, water treatment and more.
It is designed to measure pH levels from 0~14 and has the following advance features: automatic calibration (pH4, pH7 & pH10), waterproof, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), dual display (pH & temp.), switchable °C & °F, data hold, low battery indicator, and auto power off with disable feature.
The package contains, the pH meter, four 1,5V (LR44) batteries, three buffer solutions (pH4, pH7 and pH 10) and the operation manual.
How to use this professional pH meter with its excellent electrode
This pH meter has automatic temperature compensation (ATC) for accurate measurements
Install the batteries (included) following the instructions in the operation manual. Remove the probe cover from the bottom of the meter to expose the electrode. Dip the electrode in the test solution and press the on/off switch. Stir gently in order to get a stable reading. The LCD screen not only shows the measured pH, but also the temperature. Press the HLD (Hold) key to freeze the current readings. The text “Hold” will appear. Pres the HLD key again to release the hold mode. You can turn off the meter to press again the on/off switch. Once you’ve finished your measurements you need to clean the electrode with distilled water and to make the sponge wet before you put the cap back over the probe.
- It is essential to keep the sponge around the probe wet and to clean the probe always thoroughly with distilled water.
- The pH meter will shut off automatically after 20 minutes of inactivity. You can disable this function.
- This meter has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) and you can choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- Calibration is necessary and should be done regularly. The meter calibrates automatically by pressing the CAL key and putting it in 3 buffer solutions (pH4, pH7 and pH 10). Read more about calibration in the operation manual.
- Never touch or rub the glass bulb, this could damage the electrode.
FAQ – pH reading too acidic or too alkaline? Is the electrode clean?
The power is on but nothing appears in the display
-Make sure you pressed the on/off button long enough (more than 100 mSec.)
-Check if you put the batteries in place with the correct polarity
-Replace the batteries and try again
-Take the batteries out for at least 1 min. and put them back again
The response is (very) slow
Clean the probe of the pH meter by immersing the electrode in tap water for 10-15 min., then rinse thoroughly with distilled water or use a special electrode cleaner
There is no pH reading
The reading is out of the range of pH 0 -14 (too acidic or too alkaline)
“H” or “L” appears as temperature reading
The reading is out of the range of 0C – 50C (too cold or too warm)
The pH value fluctuates a lot
This is normal when the electrode is not immersed in water or the solution, but (too much) exposed in air
